Romanelli Winery in Montefalco
Grechetto, Trebbiano Spoletino, Montefalco Rosso, Montefalco Sagrantino: wines born out of love for the land
Azienda Agricola Romanelli was founded in 1978 in Montefalco, in the heart of Umbria’s most important wine region. The family-run farm has been cultivating 30 hectares of property, 8 of vineyards and 12 of olive groves, on Colle San Clemente for more than 40 years, entirely organically.
"The wine and oil we produce testify to the excellence of the unique and unrepeatable qualities of the soils, plants, and microclimates that interact in our ecosystem. This is why we practice agriculture that is attentive to the needs of the land. Our products express our history, our territory and our work.”
The story of our wine begins in Montefalco: a land devoted to viticulture for centuries
From this hill not far from the town there is an amazing panorama ringed by vines and olive trees on one side, carved by the valley on the other. The sun exposure and mild climate make this the perfect place to practice sustainable viticulture and maintain the typical balances of the Montefalco area.
A three-generation history
Since the late 1970s, the Romanelli family has been passionately cultivating its bond with the territory of Montefalco and its fruits. A history whose roots go back in time and whose branches are always ready for new projects to blossom.
It was 1978 when Amedeo and Costantino Romanelli, father and son, chose to devote themselves to agriculture, founding a farm in the heart of Umbria, in Montefalco’s Colle San Clemente. Alongside them are their wives Anna Maria and Anna Rita and sons Devis and Fabio who grew up in close contact with nature. For more than 40 years, the bond with the land has blended with family ties, resulting in unique and inimitable products. Today, three generations combine their know-how and personalities to run the farm's business with passion.
